RBI Chief wins Asia-Pacific Central Banker Award

The Reserve Bank of India governor Shaktikanta Das has been named the “Central Banker of the Year 2020 - Asia-Pacific”.
This award is given by the financial intelligence magazine “The Banker”.
This award is presented to central bankers who have best managed to stimulate growth and stabilise their economy.
He won the accolade for tightening the rules around Non-bank financial institutions and also for being proactive in providing assistance to India’s smaller banks.
