  • India has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Saudi Arabia to launch the RuPay card in the country.
  • This agreement was signed during Prime Minister of India Narendra Modis recent visit to Saudi Arabia.
  • The step will enable millions of Indians living there and also Hajj & Umrah pilgrims to transact at cheaper rates.
  • India has already launched RuPay card in the United Arab Emirates (UAE), Bahrain, Bhutan and Singapore.
