India, Nepal sign deal for Hydropower project

India and Nepal have signed a USD 1.3 billion deal for building a Hydropower project in Nepal.
As per the deal, India’s Satluj Jal Vidyut Nigam (SVJN) will develop a 679-MW hydroelectric project on the river Arun.
This is the largest foreign investment project in Nepal.
