India elected as non-permanent member of UN Security Council

India was elected as a non-permanent member of the UN Security Council for a 2-year term starting 1 January 2021.
Along with India, Ireland, Mexico, and Norway were also elected for non-permanent member seats.
This is the 8th time India has been elected as a non-permanent member of the UN Security Council.
