Greenpeace India Air Pollution Report
  • Greenpeace India has released an Air Pollution report based on PM10 data from 287 cities.
  • The top 5 polluted cities in India are:
  1. Jharia (Jharkhand)
  2. Dhanbad (Jharkhand)
  3. Noida (Uttar Pradesh)
  4. Ghaziabad (Uttar Pradesh)
  5. Ahmedabad (Gujarat)
  • PM10 is particulate matter that are 10 micrometres or less.
  • Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB) runs nationwide programs of ambient air quality monitoring under National Air Quality Monitoring Programme (NAMP).
