Global Investment Trends Monitor Report 2020

The United Nation Conference on Trade and Development (UNCTAD) released its “Global Investment Trends Monitor Report” for the year 2019.
This report focusses on trends in Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) worldwide.
The Global FDI of the year 2019 was 1.39 trillion USD.
This has declined by 1% as compared to 2018.
The United States is in the top spot, followed by China in the second spot.
FDI in India has increased by 16% as compared to 2018.
The majority of the investment went into services industries, including information technology.
